Our Philosophy

Good coaching is an intimate process, a unique and cooperative effort. The decision to seek coaching is an important one that often changes the course of a person's career and/or life. We are internationally experienced in coaching and truly love doing it.

Our coaching method requires trust and teamwork, which means one-to-one meetings to build a close, professional relationship. We don't do seminars, group training or retreats. Rather we provide you safe, confidential meetings (face-to face, by phone, e-mail or IM) with an expert who knows how to help you better manage the challenges of your life and career...and successfully reach your goals.

Some goals can be achieved in a relatively short time. Others require more in-depth work. In either case, the decision on how to proceed will be made jointly by you and your coach. Every person is different. We don't have "cookie cutter," boilerplate ways of helping people. You and your situation are unique and we'll treat you that way.

Our History

In March 1996, Marshall Colt, Ph.D. found the vast majority of human behavior consultants spoke theory, with no real-world experience of what works and what doesn�t (as he had) to back it up. So to provide pragmatic, experienced-tested solutions to the human behavior management needs and desires of corporate and governmental entities, he founded Corporate Psychological Management, LLC (CPM), based in San Diego, California, the parent company of Advance Coaching.

Our firm, based in San Diego, California, has on-the-ground experience in over 40 countries with clients in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. We are experts in leadership development and organizational improvement. CPM loves providing cost-effective, user-friendly solutions to heighten individual and organizational performance, troubleshoot complex problems, and lay visionary plans for your success.
